Since I cut my hair, One of the most popular questions I get asked daily is for tips for adding volume to lifeless hair. On days I wear my hair short, I like to wear it BIG, full of volume with a effortless messy beachy style. I have been trying out different products and hot tools that work best to create this look. I can finally say Ive nailed the “big messy beachy hair style.”
My routine begins in the shower. Using a volume enhancing shampoo and conditioner. Redken have launched their High Volume gift set. I love that this set has everything you need to give your hair that magical boost. I shampoo twice using the Redken high Volume Shampoo followed by their High Volume Conditioner. This injects volume into my hair strand by strand.
Once towel dry I spritz Redken All in One Multi Benefit Hair treatment into my hair.

Once combed threw, I blow dry my hair with my head tilted upside down. Sectioning off my hair I lightly back comb the roots and using my curling wand to curl away from my face. Once finished I tilt my hair upside again and gently shake to loosen the curls. To finish this looks I spray some dry shampoo into the roots of my hair and spritz it with hair spray.
I find the style works best on second day hair. Whether I leave it down or tie some back I can get two days out of this hair style. The messier it gets the better it looks in my opinion.😉
