Hosting a Fashion Show + What I wore

October 26, 2016

I was beyond thrilled to have been asked to host the fashion show segement at The Elite Ladies day event. The event was held in the Absolute hotel in my home town Limerick. The event in whole was based around “A Ladies who lunch” fun day out. It was filled with Makeup, Fake tan, Skin care and Fitness demos.

My slot was the Fashion show. This was my first time hosting a fashion show by….. No pressure Jade! I was busy in the build up to the show with planning, organizing and recruiting models. My aim was to have brands on board that suited my style and could effortlessly show my approach to fashion. I was so excited to have six distinguished Irish owned brands taking part in my fashion show. I was very hands on with styling each outfit – and one of my favourite parts of planning the fashion show was defiantly pulling all the styles. The line up included :

The fashion show was filled with Autumnal and winter vibes. Setting trends with black and gold inspired themes with added blush hues for a flirty feel. It was the perfect feminine collection to kick start the festive season. My expectations were exceeded! All the late evenings I put into planning, was totally worth it. I was feeling very proud to have been the host to such a succesful fashion show.

I was blown away by the support I received from the very taleneted Men and women behide these brands. Between helping out backstage, dressing models and designers making promotion posters, I am very appreciative for everyones help . It all came together so nicely and there was such sweet and encouraging buzz surrounding me after the show .

I am so happy I pushed myself far from my comfort zone, and came out on the other side feeling more confident and knowlegable. Hosting my first Fashion Show was an experience I will never forget – and I am hoping it won’t be my last! If you were at The Elite Ladies day I would love to hear from you in the comment’s below.
