I am obsessed with skincare, I would go as far as listing moisturizing as a hobby of mine, but there is only so much that anti – aging creams, potions and lotions can do. I will be 29 this Summer which means only one thing – I will be celebrating my big 3 0 next year. I know it is common to feel sad to wave goodbye to your twenties but for me I am excited to be turning 30.

Growing older is a privilege denied to many so I always choose to feel lucky with every year. For me my late 20s have been a learning experience and I personally cannot wait to be a 30 year old woman.

This year I decided to up my skincare regime and to try anti – wrinkle injections for the first time. I was delighted to hear the widely held Eden Medical Clinic had opened a new clinic in Limerick.

Eden Medical Clinic is based in the Regus building, Castletroy, Limerick. Their new office space is stylish, modern and extremely comfortable. The relaxing atmosphere put my mind at ease straight away.
I was informed that Anti – wrinkle injections are an extremely popular anti aging treatment that will deliver beautiful results, smoothing out lines and wrinkles while rejuvenating your face. I decided to have the injections on my forehead and in between my eyebrows. The procedure to my surprise was very quick and took approximately 10 mins. I felt a few very small pinches to my skin and it was all over before I knew it. I even felt comfortable enough to video it live on snapchat as I was having the procedure carried out. ( Which you can check out in the little clip below.) I was seen laughing and chatting away with the Doctor during the procedure. At no time did I need to tell her to stop.

Gone are the days of that frozen face startled look. I was surprised to learn that the results will begin to show in a few days after the procedure. By day 7, I will see the best results. I was told to keep hydrated after the procedure and to expect a slight headache and that small visible bumps may appear where the injection was applied. I did not have have bumps appear but I did get a slight headache. It did not affect my day in any way and I was able to go about as normal.

That week with each passing day I begin to notice subtle changes. I was being complimented on looking refreshed, rested and that my skin looked very healthy. I was amazing by the results. My skin felt so smooth and soft. It was as if I had been getting plenty of rest and was stress free ahem, even if it only looked that way. Even close family and friends had not realized I had any sort of anti wrinkle injections but could not exactly pinpoint what looked different about me.

I am loving the results and how my skin looks and feels. I used to hate my makeup creasing into the fine lines in between my eyebrows but now my skin is smooth so my makeup is sitting nicer and applying easier.

(These photos were taken 8 days after my procedure)
The results generally last between 3 – 4 months. The lasting time of this procedure is varied as everyone has different metabolism rates and the product is broken down differently. You can make a plan for regular follow up treatments to maintain the initial result. This treatment although is long lasting it is not a permanent result which also leaves you with the option of refining your treatment in accordance with what you desire at a particular point in time. (Such as special occasions etc.)

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope this might have answered some of your questions on Botox – Anti wrinkle injections.

    1. Hey Wendy It was Botoxโ€™ (Botulinum toxin) it is a protein produced by the the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It relaxes muscles by temporarily blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that causes lines and wrinkles. Hope this helps xxx
