I never thought I would have the opportunity to walk in a fashion show. Although it is a talent I have admired from the crowd, I never thought one day I would be walking in a fashion show. I couldnt help but feel surprised and humbled to have been asked to walk in the Pop up rail sale, fashion show that was held in The Strand hotel Limerick.

I was feeling very excited and maybe just a little nervous. I continue to push myself out of my comfort zone and to learn and grow from new experiences. I like to set goals and I do not stop till I have completed them. I am an overly competive person, to the point of competing with myself to conquer fears ( whichever they may be) and to keep improving myself every day.It is funny because if I had to backflip down the stage I probably wouldn’t have felt as nervous.

”Stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new things is the best way too grow

The pop up rail sale is an event in Limerick organised by the lovely Fashion blogger -www.womenwhowearsblack.comWhere anyone can rent a stall for the day and sell anything from clothes to shoes to beauty etc. It was a fantastic day filled with amazing Irish designers and milliners selling unique pieces on the day. Along with demos for makeup, skincare, spot prizes, best dressed lady competition and of course a fashion show.

Back stage at a Fashion show

It was as hectic as you would image. You are handed clothes so quickly! People are unzipping you, pulling dresses over your head and yanking at your arms in all directions. I was definetly not prepared for getting undressed in a room full of people I had just met. The buzz backstage had a sense of thrilling excitment. The other girls modeling were all so nice and we helped each other out with some tips for the runway. Waiting in the sidelines and peeking out to see the audience was the most excititng yet nervous part. Four outfit changes later and seven walks on the stage and I was really having fun and enjoying myself. It was a fun and relaxed atmosehere surrounded by encouraging people. I got to wear amazing dresses and creative hats. The event in whole was hugely sucessful! I am so happy I took a massive step out of my comfort zone and tried something new. It was a pleasure to be part of such a sucessful, elegant and friendly event.

”I would incourage people to continue to push yourself out of your comfort zone as often as possible”
