Lets face it contouring is here to stay. Contouring is the biggest thing in makeup right now – and has been for awhile. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian have set the bar for #contouringgoals
Whether you like to keep your contouring subtle or dramatic, there is a style to suit everyone. I would think my style is more on the subtle side especially for everyday wear. Weekdays I like to keep my make up minimal so I always opt for a quick and easy contouring style. Catrice Cosmetics sent me out some of their new products from the limited ‘Contourous’ range that launched this September. This range has a mix selection of cream and powder textures in soft champagne, rosè and brown nuances.
I came, I saw, I contoured
I was sent two shades of this sculpting powder palette. Shade Almond Architect and shade pale perfectionist. This palette is the perfect contouring set for any budding makeup enthusiast. Each shade is labelled Highlight, cheek and contour making application easy and quick. Catrice Cosmetics are known for their highlighters been on fleek and this palette is no different. The highlight is high pigmented with a glowing shimmer! This palette is perfect to pop into your handbag as everything you might need through out the day is in one handy palette. Highlight, a sweet blush and a matt contouring shade. Sculpting powder palette €5.50
Highlight and contour with one tool. The slim, stiff shaped brush with thick premium bristles are perfect for highlighting as well as skilfully shading. Contouring brush €4.95
Lip contour and colour. I am loving this 2 in 1 lip gloss. One side has a matt lip liner which can be used to line lips – I also like to use it to fill in my lips. while the other side has a lip gloss that gives you a desirable flawless finish. This is available in two shades rosewood and nude €4.95
I kept my favourite for last. This is of course the highlighting stick. I am obsessed with this highlighter. This innovating highlighting stick has a creamy and soft texture. It has a light pearl shimmer for a twinkle that really shines! The design of this product makes application accurate and blending is effortless. This highlighting stick leaves a dewy dreamy glow. Highlighting stick €4.50
In the photo above I am wearing :
- Contour and blush using the sculpting powder palette in the shade Almond Architect.
- I highlighted first using the highlighting stick and instead of using a translucent powder to set it, I opted to use the highlighter from the Almond Architect palette instead to add a bit of Oomph!
- To finish this look I am wearing ‘Contourious’ lip colour and contour on my lips in the shade Nude.
‘Contourious’ by Catrice cosmetics will be available in Penneys stores and pharmacies nationwide through out September 2016
