As you may already know I am an avid fake tanner! Without my all year round glow I would feel naked. With using self tanner its means my skin goes through different shades. Some days I am darker and other days I am lighter. Having the luxury of being able to adjust my foundation to match my whole body is a revelation. Instead of needing numerous of foundations on hand to suit when I am wearing fake tan or not, is a problem of the past.
The lightening and darken drops from The body shop have made customising my foundation easy and natural without changing how it applies to the skin. In the first photo I used the lightening drops. shade 1 is the natural color of the foundation. Shade 2 is after applying two lightening drops. Shade 3 I added four drops to exaggerate just how much it is possible to lighten your foundation. In the second photo, shade 1 is the natural color of the foundation. Shade 2 I applied two darkening drops.Shade 3 I added four drops to once again, exaggerate just how easy it is to darken your foundation. In both of these photos, I used the same foundation to darken and to lighten.
Researching into this product I have also found that these products are great for contouring. I have been appling the darkening shade to contour. ( Applying it to the hallows of my cheeks, forhead and jawline.) I then apply the lighting shade to highlight. (Applying it to my cheekbones, under my eyes, center of my forehead, down my nose and my chin.) I then take my beauty blender and blend it all out. As a complete amuture beauty junkie, I have found this to be the quickest, easiest and most effective way to contour. The shade adjusting drops come in a 15ml glass bottles with a pincher droplet applicator.
When using these drops to adjust the shade of your foundation. You just need to apply one to two drops and mix it with your favourite foundation and apply it as normal. These drops do not alter my foundation is any other way besides the shade. I am not sure what wizardry are in these bottles, but I am obsessed.
Check out these products online here or you can simply call into your local Body Shop.
I would love to hear if anyone has tried these shade adjusting drops and what you thought of them.
